meet sidharth balakrishnan

Sidharth Balakrishnan was born in Kerala, India and became a US citizen- settling in Long Island, New York at the age of 8. Post 9/11, Sid joined the Navy and began service to his country as a Corpsman, attached to the Marine Corps. It was during his last deployment in Afghanistan that he was injured and Service Disabled Retired. It was in his recovery journey that he found exercise as a form therapy. During this time Sid also worked his way to achieving a M.A degree in Clinical Counseling as a way to better understand/ cope with his own, as well as understand other veteran's, PTSD and Traumatic Brain Injuries. 

These pathways of discovery in fitness and phycology are what created the first BEASTIFIED programing: where the "BEAST" becomes SATIS-"FIED": a holistic approach to the overall growth and betterment of Self. 

As a Personal Trainer, Nutrition Coach, and mental health professional, he has made an imprint on hundreds of lives. 

In 2021, the Balakrishnans moved from Fallbrook, CA to Overland Park, KS to pursue their family's passion of health and wellness. Beastified Sports Nutrition and Performance was founded in 2022, it was in this era that Sid began prepping for his first body building competition. In November '22 at his first show Sid ranked 1st  Group Novice, 1st Military, 1st Group Overall, 1st Overall Novice, and 1st Overall Giving him the Mr. Kansas title in Men's Physique. Additionally, in the same show he placed 1st Group Novice, 1st Military, and 4th Overall in Classic Physique. This was the catapult to growing what began as a small idea to what now is Beastified Gym, founded in 2024. 

On July 3rd 2025, Sid stepped on the NPC Universe stage in the very place that changed his life as a young boy: it was in New York that Sid place 1st overall, becoming an IFBB Pro in Men's Physique, and gaining title of "Mr. Universe 2025". A few weeks later Sid made his Pro Debut at the NPC IFBB Atlanta Pro Super Show where he placed 6th in first callouts (an anomaly). 

Sid is eager to continue working hard in the 2026 season and continue working his way through the Pro Circuit with his eye on the prize of one day stepping on the Olympia Stage. He also looks forward to continue expanding the Beastified Gym brand, always looking for ways to better support the Beastified Gym community. 

Sid offers a wide range of service with support of the other Beastified Gym trainers from aspiring athletes to lifestyle clients looking to make long lasting changes.
